Louis Picamelot scores large at Decanter World Wine awards
Maison Louis Picamelot represents the village of Rully within the Cotes de Chalonnaise where some of the regions most consistent and exciting sparkling wines are found. This Maison continues to exceed themselves year by year with respect to the appelation's seemingly always undervalued Rully craftsmanship. It is the attention to every detail and endless work ethic that Mr. Picamelot introduced in 1926 that today's generation continue to uphold. The Decanter World Wine Awards have concurred, Picamelot won the Silver Medal for both their Cremant de Bourgogne Blanc and the White Rully 1er Cru "Clos du Chaigne" 2006. They also won the Bronze Medal for their Cremant de Bourgogne Rose Brut.
