Palateur teams up with Fish Restaurant at the James Beard House
New York, NY - In a secluded brownstone off a quiet street in New York's Greenwich Village, you'll find one of the world's most revered kitchens. By special invitation, the James Beard House plays host to the country's leading chefs, allowing members and guests to experience the cuisine of some of the country's leading culinary talents. On August 25, 2010, chef-owner Mike Stollenwerk of Philadelphia's highly acclaimed Fish Restaurant teamed up with Palateur's own, Mark Monaco, who acted as his traveling Sommelier for the evening. With chef Stollenwerk's notable creativity and flare in his seafood preparations and Monaco's tuned-in knowledge, guests will surely be in for a memorable food and wine experience. Some of the highlights: White Corn Waffles with Chilis and Lobster (Champagne J. Dumangin Fils, Premier Cru, Rose NV), Skate Wing with Truffled Spaetzle, Melted Leeks, and Parmesan Broth (Monzio Compagnoni, Terre di Franciacorta, Rosso 2005), Vitello Tonnato with Celeriac, Fava Beans, Chanterelles, and Lobster Vinaigrette (York Creek Vineyards, MXB, 2006) and Frozen Lemon Bar with Marcona Almond Nougat, Richter Farms Raspberries, and Ginger Tea (Janos Puklus Tokaji Aszu, 5 Puttonyos, 2002)
