It all began with the vines, the sun, the earth, the water and the countryside of the Penedes region of Catalonia. Sant Sadurni d'Anoia is the capital of Cava wines and it was in this tiny town that the Rosell and the Formosa families joined forces in 1948 to create the finest Cava from the grapes of small local growers. Half of a century later, they still adhere to the family tradition, combining tradition and technology in a constant search to improve the product even further. Aging takes place in their quiet and lengthy underground cellars which reside under the streets in the heart of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia. Rosell and Formosa is a Cava of prestige, elegance and quality. Palateur Imports and Rosell and Formosa have collaborated to bring back their vintage labels from the 1940's as the new label for the American market.
